Her three young children are wrenched from her loving care. Her life changes forever. How does a mother cope when she is forced to walk away from her children and never see them again? That is what happened to JB Rowley's mother, Myrtle. Eventually, rescued from her despair by tall, dark and handsome George Rowley who fell in love her, Myrtle started a new life and had seven more children. She buried the grief of losing her first children deep within and kept her pain secret. JB and her siblings were unaware of the existence of Myrtle’s first three children until after she died. Desperate to know how such a thing could happen to a devoted and caring mother, JB went on a journey to find out. What she discovered was a heart breaking story of loss. It was a long time before JB was able to work out that her mother kept her early life and her first family secret out of misplaced guilt and shame. To redress that, JB decided to tell the whole world her mother’s secret. Whisper My Secret is a proud declaration that Myrtle did nothing deserving of guilt or shame. Heart breaking yet heart warming. Don't delay. Read it TODAY! #1 BEST SELLER IN ADOPTION! "One of the best Adoption books of all time" - BookAuthority As a child I boasted to my mother that I would one day write a best selling book. She responded by saying: I might give you a story to write about one day. It wasn't until after she died that I found that story. Clues had been left behind in an old silver cash tin. After years of research and searching for people connected to my mothers' story, I finally had enough information to have a fair idea of the circumstances that led to her forced separation from her first three children - the half siblings I had never known about. At that time I wasn't intending to write her story; I just wanted to find out what happened. Eventually I did put the information together in a book - bridging the gaps with imagination, supposition and my knowledge of my mother. She spent her childhood chasing snakes and lizards down hollow logs, playing Hansel and Gretel in the bush with her brothers, climbing trees, searching the local rubbish tip for books to read and generally behaving like a feral child. To avoid her boisterous brothers she often escaped into the hayshed with a book. Stories and books played a significant part in her childhood. Favourite childhood authors included Enid Blyton, Charles Dickens and Beatrix Potter. As an adult JB has read a broad range of authors and continues to read prolifically although she now prefers audio books and ebooks. JB still lives in the state of Victoria but is now in the capital city of Melbourne where, when she is not writing, she works as an English tutor and an oral storyteller.
