Before the Age of Enlightenment, spirituality, religion, and philosophy reigned supreme, with feelings influencing human knowledge and experience. The corruption within the Christian church led people to seek more validating outlets for their faith and spirituality. Disillusioned by the church's abuses, many rejected spirituality and religion, even turning away from Christ and God. In response, unemotional intelligence rose, rescuing people from religious tyranny and clergy abuse. The intelligentsia's efforts largely erased spirituality and religion, paving the way for the dominance of science. This paradigm shift replaced the heart with the mind, as cold intellectualism scorned emotions. Intellectual circles banned sentiments, and religion was dismissed. As time proved, every extreme reverence leads to idolatry. The intelligentsia's focus on the mind while neglecting emotions mirrored the very trap they aimed to escape. Modern seekers, disenchanted by this imbalance, now yearn for a holistic reconciliation of faith with both spiritual and material worlds. They seek a path to wisdom that incorporates both intellect and emotion. People's quest to eliminate ignorance is eternal. Today's generation, after prioritizing mind over matter, now seeks to nurture its soul. This search drives many to revisit old religions and spiritual practices for contentment, abandoning their dry intellectual upbringings. The resurgence of pre-Christian gods, driven by a desire for loosely organized faith systems and personal spirituality, is evident. Modernists flock to these ancient spiritualities, choosing sensuality over religious order. Polytheistic gods of old, with their deceptive devices, welcome them. Seducing spirits fill their spiritual voids with flesh-satisfying rituals. The revival of ancient deities unleashes their primitive deceptions on the modern age. These gods, once suppressed by Christianity, exploit technology to update their images and reach a global audience. Ancient deities now appear suave and appealing, using modern advancements to mask their malevolence. They reinvent themselves for contemporary society, remaining devious and deadly. Occultism, the new term for scriptural idolatry, characterizes these false religions and their obscene worship. The deterioration of modern society's foundations reflects the savagery and injustices perpetrated by these ancient forces. This text explores how the world became what it is and why humans are born enslaved to it.
