Our Wicker Elephant Table has a removable oval tray on top that pops onto the base. We made a quality wooden frame under the table top from pine wood. It pops on easliy and is pretty secure. If you want to permanently attach the tray to the base we suggest putting 2 screws in through the tray & into the base of the table. Suggest you use 1.5" -2" long screws. Be careful not to break the wicker weave. Put a little white paint on the screw tops if you wish. We put a picture of the underneath of the tray (table top) so you can see what we describing.
