William Caldwell (1771 - 1862) originated in Montgomery Co., VA traveled to Kentucky as a trader with the Native American Indians in the early 1800's. He met his wife, Nancy Agnes Benge, daughter of Chief Robert Benge and Blackfox, a Chippawa Indian while traveling to Kentucky.
