Walking In His Paw Prints If you had the “Winnie..” books in your life as a child, you have been blessed. Children, have enjoyed for 100 years this gentle introduction to finding friends, acceptance, and love in life. This original "Winnie" can now be colored and then displayed in 113 large, 8.5 x 11 images. Any relationship that has at its heart “the good of the other” (or love) can be, described here. In my mind, Christopher Robin, Winnie-the-Pooh and the gang, will always be walking together, in the 100 Acre Wood looking for ”suitable events” (or outright adventures) to test themselves against. This book has been a “parent in print”, teaching kids about how to get along with others with good humor and grace, for generations. It has also been a review of community for adults (or parents); and we all need the guidance. But help at any stage of life is better than not at all. Magic for (Young) Adults As for me, the magic of Pooh came later in life. I was 20 years old. It was at Eeyore's (Pooh’s friend, the gloomy donkey) birthday party (Held every May, 1), in Austin, Texas, that I first discovered ”Pooh World”. I was a newly minted UT student, homesick, and wandering around. Maybe it was the time (The Age of Aquarius,1968) or my need for my large family and girlfriend an ocean away in Germany, but at Pease Park the Winnie-the-Pooh story was a warm and welcoming place to stop and rest. There was the Maypole and music, and the new friends, I would meet, that would last a lifetime. Pooh World is, of course, whimsical and the 100 acre wood is nothing real. Still it became for me and millions of others; as big as space and time. And the world that A. A. Mile and E.H. Shepherd created in 1926 showed us that problems can be big or small, whatever they are, can depend on the relationships you make along the way. And the biggest problem (or "suitable event") is really just an adventure that can be solved, if you can find the friends that will support, help, teach you about it, or save you from it. I did reach out and find all of this. Cast, a Guide to Pooh While You Color Christopher Robin is a boy who with Pooh and the gang, pal around forever, in a world filled with simplicity, the forest, and the magic of innocence and childhood. Piglet, although timid, with help from his best friend, Pooh, will overcome his fear of the mysterious Heffalump. Eeyore, Pooh's melancholic donkey companion sets out on a mission to find his lost tail with Christopher Robin’s help. Owl is the wise but sometimes forgetful sidekick. Rabbit, as Pooh's friend, comes up with clever plans to get into new trouble. And he likes to do things his own way, but can be bossy at times, Kanga, and Roo are newcomers and adventurers. Are they also immigrants? Winnie-the-Pooh is filled with timeless lessons about companionship, acceptance, and the simple joys of life. Pooh’s adventures become an endearing tale about overcoming fear of the unknown and finding courage, whether it's climbing trees or searching for honey pots in the most unlikely places. Emotional Intelligence Children, and adults can grow and explore when they feel secure. The security to wonder and discover are found here. Take all the time you need to "Color About It".
