This book is a biography of sorts. It was written by dozens of “authors” who each have a different vantage point of watching God work in and through my life. Most people have experienced life changing moments. For me ... the moment I placed my trust in Christ, the moment I asked Cindy to marry me, and the moment each of our children were born were significant life changing moment. My 70th birthday celebration was a life changing moment for me as well. Ironically, I was as reluctant as I was excited to participate in this event. (You can read about that emotional journey in the introduction of this book.) But I’m glad I did it. Why was it life changing? I felt God’s love through the affection of everyone who attended, plus through the cards and well-wishes that followed. - The love and encouragement I received gave me an added dose of confidence to step out in faith regarding what God has called me to do. - I was surprised to learn the many ways God has used me to disciple others. - And it helped me to realize that my efforts ARE fruitful for His Kingdom after all. It is amazing how easy it has been to doubt that. All these things are items the enemy of our soul does not want us to notice. I wish every follower of Christ could experience what I had the privilege of experiencing. It is my hope that everyone who reads these tributes would be inspired and encouraged to step out in faith to serve the Lord with their whole heart. I am WONDERFULLY blessed by a WONDERFUL God who uses WONDERFUL people like you to show me His love. Thank you to everyone who participated. It was, well ... life changing! I am still basking in the glow from that event.
