Casting custom handle stock and bottle stopper blanks from epoxy and polyester resins is a whole lot easier now with the WoodRiver Silicone Handle Stock/Bottle Stopper Casting Mold. This reusable casting mold has been designed with 3mm fillets in all corners to aid in the mold’s release, as well as pre-rounded corners for easier turning, with the exception of the top four edges. To create bottle stopper blanks, use WoodRiver Silicone Flat Dams (WC# 174216) to divide the mold in half so you may pour two completely different blanks in the same cavity. Due to the size of the mold, it may be necessary to apply light pressure against the dam, using tape or a small clamp, to ensure a tight seal at the top of the mold. Mold release agents will make removing the blank from the mold easier and will help extend the life of the mold.
