This soldier was a member of the 322nd Field Artillery Battalion, 83rd Infantry Division's famous Rag Tag Circus and covers their fighting in Europe during World War II beginning in June 1944. The book contains the 42 actual letters with updates of the Division's involvement in the 5 campaigns (Rhineland Campaign, Ardennes Campaign, Central Europe Campaign, Brittany Campaign, Normandy Campaign) after D-Day that culminated with the Wars end. Also given are general updates of World War II happenings that coincide with dates of the letters. We then follow the soldiers life after his return home until his death.
