She teams up (in more ways than one!) with Detective Jack Schiller, and even though she's trying to find a murderer, her biggest threat is always her own bad habits.  This series, though containing humor, tends to be a little heavier than my romances, as I deal with Anna's compulsive gambling issues.  But, they're kind of fun, too.
