And will Noel's desire for Casey create more than a little friction in his family, especially with his mother, who is harbouring an old secret that could end their relationship before it starts...Write to Love, Book Two in the Calderone Family Romance series, is a spirited and feel-good stand alone rom-com. After reading Stranded in Love , I couldn't wait forthe second book in the series to come out. The first book was so much fun, andthe author is a great writer! I think I love this one even more than the firstif that's possible! How cute is it to meet a tall, dark, and handsome (TDH asCasey refers to it) stranger over a squash? The fresh produce theme is broughtup throughout this funny RomCom. I love theauthor's portrayal of the handsome billionaire, Noel Calderone and how romantiche is. One example: he sends purple roses to Casey to match her violet eyes.Aww.. I felt sorryfor Casey throughout the story having to deal with Noel's mom, Eve. Her nameseems to be short for Evil! She is rude and dismissive of the kind and sweetCasey, an author of mystery novels who wears butterfly hair clips (how cute isthat?). I thought Casey handled Eve with grace, much better than I would havedone! I would highlyrecommend this romantic, funny, charming story that made me smile the wholeway. In fact, I loved it so much, I read it twice! Alex Bailey, author of Once Upon a Romance This is a fun tale of aspiring-bestseller meets dashingly-handsome fan, withhumor and sparks flying. Though part of a series, it tells the stand-alone taleof Casey Dunlop, a writer on her last chance at literary success. She's landed an agent and publisher and isoff to her first book signing in Toronto, determined to make it work. But after the firstaverage day, she goes to a local grocery store and runs into Noel Calderone, the youngest son of a rich and powerful family. He's dates many girls casually, and none have ever captured his heart, but then, none of them have had Casey's romantically alluring purple eyes. The next day,he shows up at the bookstore with a rose, the very squash they'd both claimedthe day before, and an invitation to dinner.Casey longs to accept - after all, he's handsome, polite, and a huge fanof hers - but she's wearing a sweater that gives her a rash and she just cameoff a bad relationship. She's not sure she's ready to rush into anything, notafter itching her back into angry red blotches. But Noel isn'tthe kind of many Casey wants to refuse altogether, so they reschedule theirdate for the next night, his father's sixtieth birthday party. She gets to meethis parents, his brothers, and his married and pregnant sister amid grandeur, elegance and professional photographers. What reallyadds to the pressure, though, is the fact that his mother doesn't like Casey. She isn't sure whether Mrs. Calderone is afraid of losing her 'little boy' orjust doesn't think Casey is good enough, but either way, her cutting remarksand lack of respect make Casey think about ditching Noel, despite his blue eyesand 'James Bond' good looks. The story is sweetand spicy without being all about the sex, though there's no denying the chemistrybetween Noel and Casey. Strongcharacterization and a rich vein of humor punctuate this story, and readers wholove a good tale of "Will they end up together?" will enjoy Write to Love. bookdirectory.com Another great story by Victoria. The story was strong and enjoyable and I can't wait fir the next in the series. In this book you learn more about the Calderone family and how bitchy mother-in-laws can be. The story i felt was a bit slow at the start but once I got into it I couldn't put it down. The ending was so good, I would have cracked well before Casey did.
