What do you know about dating well? How would you answer these dating questions?Among twenty unhappily married couples who chose not to divorce, five years later how many were happy? ----- (Seventeen, 86% reported improvement, see Chapter 1 Divorce Hurts). When future soul mates meet, they immediately know that they have found ?the one.? ----- (False, see Chapter 5 on Dating Well with CUBS).Out of ten couples who choose to live together romantically, on average how many will still be together in five years?----- (One, 90% will break up, see Chapter 2 Knots: Living Together). This book is designed to provide information and guidance on dating well. The premise is simple: your choices while single and young have an enormous impact on the type of relationship you will have once you marry. Sadly, many people act as if the choices they make before they get married don?t matter and those choices then undermine their odds for a great marriage. We are here to help point out pitfalls and propose principles for your dating journey so that you can make healthy decisions that lead to romantic success. Dr. John T. Wu is a Professor of Psychology at Point Loma Nazarene University. He has over twenty five years experience counseling young adults and young couples, and is a popular professor of child development, counseling, and marriage courses. He resides and maintains a private counseling practice in San Diego, California.  He has completed several triathlons, and he is an avid fan of technology, the NBA, and of course, the yoyo.  As his students can attest, he is a clear and present danger with his yoyo each day in class.  Please see his website yoyodad.com for short yoyo video clips.  Natasha E. Wright is a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University, having earned her bachelor's in Psychology and Philosophy-Theology. She is passionate about investing in others, which shapes her interest in both psychology and research, and this just might make up for her impressive lack of yoyo skills. She has recently begun a Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she is studying the neuropsychological effects of substance abuse in adolescence.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
